Alcohol is simply part of many occasions: meeting friends, spending time with family, celebrating—and often in professional settings, too. It’s part of our culture to raise a glass and celebrate life.

That’s exactly why I wanted to create an alternative that doesn’t feel like missing out. An option for everyone who wants to enjoy consciously: sometimes 0.0, sometimes low—but always with flavour and experience.

The spark for this came in 2024, during a holiday in France’s Champagne region. Interestingly, it was in the middle of a conversation with a well-known winemaker that I realised what I was really looking for: drinks that feel like a true experience—not a replacement. Something that fits those moments when you want to toast, without alcohol having to be the focus.

I was looking for an alternative that convinces just as much as the classics: as complex and exciting as a great glass of Champagne, with the aromatic depth of a well-aged red wine—or as sparkling and life-affirming as an Italian spritz on a seaside terrace. Above all, no one should be left out. Drinks that celebrate life—not the buzz. For everyone, not just a select few.

I found nothing that truly met my standards. After many conversations with friends, wine lovers, sommeliers and experts from the beverage industry, one thing became clear: if these drinks don’t exist yet, we have to create them.

That’s how SOLIA was born.
